Founded in 1810, Oxford has a rich and growing history. Admire the restored Black covered bridge, visit the William Holmes McGuffey Museum or imagine training to assist with the Civil Rights Movement as you visit the Freedom Summer Memorial on Miami’s Western campus.
Oxford also hosts numerous festivals throughout the year. Eat delicious pancakes with fresh, local-made syrup at the Maple Syrup Festival held in March. Pedal, push or roll your way to glory at the largest Kinetics Festival in the Midwest hosted every year around the month of April. Explore fine wines from around the world and sample craft beer while admiring fine art made in Ohio, each May at the Oxford Wine Festival.
If you’re in town during the summer months, check out the Summer Music Concert Series held every Thursday evening in June, July and August for free jazz, blues, modern, rock ‘n roll and blue grass tunes.
