White bass at Brookville Lake and Whitewater River
White bass are a popular sport fish that can be caught in large number when they make their spring spawning migrations up tributaries of larger water bodies. Whitewater river which feeds Brookville Lake from the north is one of these places where hundreds even thousands are caught each spring.
- Typical Foods: Small fishes and larger insect larvae.
- Fishing on or near bottom with live minnows. But anglers can catch them readily along
the channel edges or up on the flats, often with jigs, crankbaits or swim baits.
