Department of Natural Resources (DNR) at Brookville Lake
The Brookville Lake and Whitewater Memorial State Park Recreation Complex provide opportunities for great hunting, fishing, boating and swimming. With 780 campsites from primitive to AA hookups and 20 family cabins, you can likely find accommodations. And for hikers, there are over 40 miles of footpaths for you to explore. Have a horse? Enjoy Whitewater Memorial State Park’s 9-mile bridle trail. Don’t have a horse? Visit the saddle barn for a guided trail ride!
The complex boasts three beaches which are clean and close to home for a day at the lake. Eleven boat ramps offer many options for accessing the lake for sailing, power boating, fishing, tubing, canoeing, kayaking, or water skiing. Brookville Lake is even a sea plane air strip Monday through Friday!
DNR/Army Corps events are HERE to help you plan for your activities. Every weekend from Memorial Day through Labor Day, the Interpretive Naturalists offer programs on local natural or cultural history. Call the Mounds SRA or Whitewater Memorial State Park offices for a current schedule of programs. No matter how you enjoy the outdoors, Brookville Lake and Whitewater Memorial State Park offer you a multitude of ways to access it.
